Hi!
Sorry that we have been MIA since Molly's birthday. But somebody came down with Hand Foot & Mouth disease. I'm not naming names but it wasn't Matt, Hank or I so... and yes I know the name is horrifying. I wish they could come up with something cuter. You say HF&M disease and people run for the hills.
Poor kid got it from daycare and was promptly banned from coming back until all of her spots were dried up! So she and I played hooky together for 3 full days which wasn't that terrible. Besides one day of fevers she was in a surprisingly good mood despite the doctor telling us the sores in her mouth were equivalent to one of us having 20 canker sores at the same time! ouch!
We watched a fair amount of Yo Gabba Gabba & took a few walks but generally avoided the public as she was super contagious for 7-10 days.
Last Saturday we thought she deserved a little treat for being so good while being so sick so we took her to our favorite shop, Cupcake. We had just found out that they had won the Yo Gabba Gabba episode of Cupcake Wars on TLC! We shared a Toodee and DJ Lance Rock and they were delicious!!
This week she finally had her 2 year physical and she did super good. She is in the 50% for Weight and 25% for Height but I think that was skewed. She wasn't standing totally straight because she was afraid of the piece they bring down on your head. The doctor was super impressed with her vocabulary skillz. He said she has great pronunciation of words for her age. He also said it was good that she was already connecting words to make mini sentences. "where did daddy go?" "Back Home!" "I throw it!" And she showed him how strong she was when she refused to be laid down to get her hips checked. Her milk addiction good for something I guess... it is making her STRONG! It took all 3 of us to hold her down.
She still loves playing with all of her baby toys!
Lovin' on Hanky
Toodee cupcake from YGG Cupcake Wars
Still not a fan of getting her hands dirty. She avoided the blue frosting and just ate the bottom.
