You would never guess it is October around here. We are having some gorgeous weather and we have been trying to get out and enjoy it as much as possible.
Molly insists on walking everywhere now. She is a very independent and strong willed 18 month old! We have taken several walks and trips to the park this week. It takes about twice as long to walk up there with her tiny legs leading the way. haha.
She loves the "wing" and the slide and just running as fast as she can around the paths in the park.
She is still talking up a storm. She scored extremely high on her verbal skills at her checkup today. I guess most kids at this age only have 3-6 words. Molly has about 15 she says clearly. Her favorites:
hank
shoe
baby
run
book
hot
cracker
doggy
truck
rock
She is uber social. Saying hi and smiling at every person she meets. I don't know where this friendly kid came from! She does brighten a lot of peoples day which is a really nice compliment.
She does have mood swings though, where one minute she is being very sweet and happy and the next she is having a full on tantrum. Our little Sour Patch kid. If the costume wasn't so frightening I would consider dressing her up as one for Halloween! I think it is just the age where she is so strong willed but doesn't have all of her words yet. She gets extremely frustrated when we don't understand something she wants/needs. I'll definitely be glad when that phase is over.
Her stats at the doctor today were 23lbs and 31 inches which are both around the 60th percentile. Which is good considering she basically lives off cheese and crackers. Well at home at least. Apparently she eats really well when she is at school with the other kids but at home not so much. Cheese, crackers, hot dogs and fruit are about the only we can get her to eat at home. She is much more of a snacker. Eat a little and go play then come back and eat a little more. She is definitely too busy to sit down and eat a big meal all at once. Which has made our eating out experiences almost non-existent. She has a timer of about 20 minutes before she over being confined to a highchair and wants out. There is almost no distraction technique that we haven't tried to get her to relax and chill out. When she is done she is done and she lets the whole place know. Oh well it is helping our budget by staying in more. :-)

She gets cuter and cuter! Thanks for posting so many pictures and keeping those of us who are "geographically undesireable" up-to-date.
Love you,
Mitzi
