Sorry for being offline for awhile. We have been having a busy summer and I guess time really does fly when you are having fun. I didn't realize I hadn't updated in awhile.
Where should I start? 4th of July?! We had really beautiful weather. Seriously. Like 80 degrees no humidity and sunny. I can't remember a 4th of July weekend that nice in a long time. We spent 2 out of the 3 days out on the boat which was nice and relaxing. I guess I was so relaxed I forgot to take a single picture the entire weekend. And Molly didn't have a patriotic outfit to wear on Monday. The closest she had was her blue mermaid shirt that she gets called a "Handsome Little Fella" in... epic fail. :(
Molly turned 15 months during our blogging hiatus! Here are a few updates:
She has been super busy learning new words. I think everyday she comes home from school with another word where Matt and I look at each other, "when did she learn that one?!" The current favorite is still Hieee! Over and over again until the person getting Hieee'd to death gives up. And she loves to point and yell when she sees the object of her favorite word. Ball! Truck! Car! Pup! (puppy) Milk! Book! Baby!
She also has this little martian language where she speaks really softly in a tiny voice to herself when she is playing or reading books. I can't really explain it but she goes on and on almost like soft singing but in a foreign language. It cracks me up. I am trying to get her on video but she only does it when she thinks nobody is paying attention.
Molly loves Cheese. Which has also be come a new nickname: Chee-e-eese. She likes every kind and it has become a staple in our fridge and our go to snack. We could feed her it morning, noon and night and she would be one happy girl. I'm wondering if she will end up having distain for cheese like Auntie Allison still does after being cheesed out as a kid. hmmm... at least it should give her strong teeh and bones in the mean time, right? :)
Molly can still be called a busy body. She is walking so fast now she will be running soon. She can twirl around in a circle, walk backwards (i like to call it moon walking) and does this strange tap dance/gallop thing when she is happy. She still has a thing for stairs. I see all the other kids at her daycare who don't even look twice at stairs but as soon as the gate opens up, zoooom! Molly is off and up the stairs more than halfway by the time you can catch her, laughing hysterically the whole way. Maybe she will be a mountain climber?
Bonus Question: Who is this Molly look alike? The soft curls of hair & the devil baby grin with the dimple...
