9 month update!

I feel like I just did her 8 month update yesterday! With the Holidays and our visitors the days just flew by.

So here we are in 2011 and Molly is 9 months today! There is a lot more to report on in the past month. She is really catching on to things fast.

STATs: Haven't been to the Dr yet to get her height but she is still holding strong at 18 lbs. She moves around so much, she gets a ton of aerobic activity. She is considering making a baby jazzercise video.

Molly Loves:

Talking: Molly says Mama and Dada and Baba , all though I don't think she associates them with anything in particular, just rambling. Just recently she started to catch on to the "K" sound when we see Hank and say "Kitty". Every time she sees him now, she makes the "K-ah" sound over and over. She is trying super hard to talk but in the meantime is still growling to communicate with most people.

Walking: Molly got a learning walker for Christmas. She caught on right away that she had to hold on and walk behind it. She is like a run-a-way train with it though. It is more that her legs are moving to keep up with the walker than her really walking behind it. She doesn't quite know how to stop yet until she crashes into a piece of furniture. Now she thinks all of her toys should be movable like that. Her new activity table doesn't even have wheels but she manages to push it clear across the room every time she is using it.

Clapping and Waving: She has been clapping for awhile but she is now combining it with waving hello and goodbye. It is like a wild clap wave. I started cracking up this morning when I went to her crib to get her out she was standing up with a huge smile on her face and started waving really big. I'm not used to somebody waving good morning at me like that. haha.

Fish Face: Molly is basically a little parrot right now. Before if you made a kissy face at her she would come in with a big open mouth kiss. Now she is really trying to imitate you and tries making a pout but instead it comes off more like a fish face.  A really cute fish face.

Testing her limits: Molly is a super fast crawler with perfect form and I think she knows this. She will take off like a bolt to the other side of the basement where the bar is. Every time we say No No and then go and get her. As soon as you put her back down she will take off again for the same area , giggling and smiling the whole way. She thinks she is so funny. Matt is disturbed that we already have to lock up the bar. We thought we had a few more years... haha.

Back Handsprings: Okay well not to that extreme but if she could she would. She loves diving backward and flipping over. I don't remember doing that until I was at least 4 and just about ripped my Pa's arms off.

Strangers: Molly is very charming with strangers lately. She could be being a pill for us but as soon as she sees a stranger she will light up. At restaurants we end up looking at her back most of the time because she has turned herself completely around in her highchair to stare at somebody at the other table.

Her Hands: Molly usually always has one of her hands in her mouth and it is usually upside down (i.e. the picture above). It makes for some slimy high fives.

Molly Dislikes:
Mornings before her bottle: If you don't have a bottle ready as soon as she gets up she gets gruuuumpy!
Carseats
Having her diaper changed
Socks & Shoes
Baby Gates
