It seems to keep going faster and faster but Matt and I agree that this is her most fun stage yet. Her little personality is shining through. She is such a busy bee! As soon as she wakes up in the morning she is on the go. It is very hard to get her to sit still unless she is eating. I've noticed we have said, "Where'd she go?!" a lot more recently.
It has been awhile since Molly was at the Doctor, she doesn't have to go back until 9 months so we aren't sure of her weight and height but she seems to be getting taller and leaner. Probably all that standing she is doing now. haha.
Molly Loves:
Talking! She can babble none stop. Mostly Ba and Da. No Mama yet. She definitely has a lot to say though and she is trying really hard to get her point across.
Laughing! She can give the most hysterical belly laugh I've ever heard. It doesn't even take much anymore and she is giggling so hard she has to catch her breath.
Crawling! She has mastered this in short order. She found her 2nd gear last week and is going even faster.
Eating! Molly is eating 3 meals a day. Fruit is still her favorite. In the last week or so she has started smacking her lips together repeatedly to let us know when she is hungry.
Standing! After she crawls over to where she wants to be Molly will always pull herself up standing using whatever she can find around her. I think she likes the view better from up there. She has even started letting go with both hands to grab an object. She needs a "no fear" sticker on her diaper.
Clapping! She is really proud of herself when she successfully claps her hands together.
Raspberries! She is a little mimic. If you blow raspberries at her she will do it right back and then continue to do it for much much longer.
Growling! She is still growling like a little bear/monster. Long after Halloween. This is mostly how she communicated with everyone over Thanksgiving.
Hank! Since she is crawling so fast, Hank has had a harder time getting away from her. She loves to corner him and pet his tail, he on the other hand despises it. haha. He is still unsure of exactly what she is and why she is here.
Gnawing! Molly has 8, yes 8 teeth with more on the way. Because of all this teething she gnaws on everything including her crib. Needless to say we have had to get a crib rail guard so she doesn't chip off anymore paint.
Kisses! Molly likes it when you make a kissy noises and she almost always comes back with a big sloppy open mouth kiss.
Molly Dislikes:
Her Car seat - Like I said she wants to be a girl on the go and she hates being restrained in her seat.
Baby gates - again inhibiting her movement. She will pull herself up using the gate and then shake it with all of her might to try to get it down.
Diaper changes - again she is annoyed when she has to be pinned down to get her diaper changed and usually tries at least twice to break away right in the middle of it which usually results in a half naked baby on the run.
Being left alone - Molly has had some separation anxiety lately which has made getting ready in the mornings difficult trying to get dressed or put makeup on while holding her. I'm amazed we get out the door some days.
Here is Molly's 8 month picture with Santa!
