Molly's Half Birthday! aka - 6 month update

Hi Everyone.

Molly is 24 weeks today! Holy Crap. Time is flying with this little one...

STATS:  15 lbs 13 oz at last doctor’s appointment. She was in the 75th percentile for her weight, height and head. She is a very proportionate baby. ha!  Her official 6 month checkup isn't until this Thursday so we will find out then what she is currently. She just started wearing her new fall wardrobe last week (that includes several pairs of jeggings) that are 6-12 months and they are still a little big.

Her eyes still aren't brown. They are less blue and more grey these days. Her hair is coming in more and it seems to be a light brown. I still brush it everyday and tell it to get growing.

ACTIVITIES:
Molly is now sitting up on her own! Yes. That's right. No boppy needed for support. She does weeble and fall over after awhile but she doesn't mind because she could spend her whole day on her stomach. She isn't quite crawling yet but she can rotate herself in a circular pattern that gets her to her toys if they are out of reach. The other day I left her downstairs in the middle of the floor on a blanket with all of her toys. I came back not 2 minutes later and somehow she was underneath the entertainment center, probably 2 feet away from where i left her. How in the world she got over there i have no idea. haha.

She has also graduated to Rice Cereal (or rice krispy treats as auntie meredith calls it). She has mastered this and is definitely ready to move on to something with actual taste. I think we are going to try bananas tonight! wild! haha. I'll let you know how that goes...

Molly has her first tooth! It is the bottom front tooth. It came in a little over a week ago. It didn't seem to bother her too much while it was coming in until a day or two before. She started biting down on her burpie and growling like a bear. I knew something was up! The next day a little jagged baby tooth was poking through her gums.
I think she is working on the other one right now. Supposedly those two come in pairs.

MOLLY LOVES:
putting everything in her mouth (including her own feet)
feeling your face when you pick her up (this can lead to little baby scratches all over your face)
pulling hair
smiling real big when you call her name
big belly laughs when her daddy tickles her
swinging in the park
holding her own bottle (and then squirting her self in the face when she squeezes it)
hitting the buttons that talk back to her in different languages on her exersaucer
Glowy - her glow worm
having us sing songs using her name
blowing bubbles
Pomegranate Popsicles
Hank (she got a handful of fur the other day as he ran by)
